Dr. Robert N. Kurtzke
Dr. Robert N. Kurtzke received his B.S. in biology from the University of Notre Dame and his M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He interned at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and completed his residency in neurology at the Neurological Institute of New York, during which time he served as Chief Resident in Neurology and was the recipient of a Muscular Dystrophy Fellowship. He completed a Fellowship in Neuromuscular diseases and Electromyography at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Kurtzke joined the Neurology Center of Fairfax in 1990. He specializes in nerve and muscle disorders as well as electomyography (EMG). Dr. Kurtzke has served as co-chairman of the Carrier Advisory Committee for Medicare and he has served as President of the Virginia Neurologic Society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with added qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Kurtzke is an Oral Board examiner and a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
